Sam Luang village uses a community pool of money, originally set up by Meikswe Myanmar, to microfinance seed corn and planting.
\n\nCorn was recently harvested and dried. The fields will lay fallow until April or May when they replant.
\n\nSam Laung village has 90 families and is a mix of Li Su, Shan and Wa ethnic groups. Meikswe Myanmar works with the Li Su people and images are of various Li Su. \nSam Laung Village is located 30 miles south of Lashio, Myanmar.
