First, we start off with a conversation, get to know each other a bit and I get to learn all about you and your celebration. My goal is to photograph and celebrate the real you, as a couple and as individuals. Are you available? Want me to lock in your wedding date? Shoot me a message and I'll let you know if I'm available. Next up we'll set up a meeting or phone call about your day and then it's $1000 to reserve your date. What’s your style? A mix of photojournalism and creative portraiture. I do my best best to facilitate the smoothest wedding day possible, if you’re having a fantastic time, the images captured will be stunning. Most weddings I shoot alone to keep a comfortable vibe and never make it feel like you’re part of a massive production. That said, if you’re having a large wedding with multiple locations, I can provide some amazing second photographers to come along with me. How many photos do we get? Normally I deliver between 600 - 700 images from a wedding day. Everything you receive has been edited for color + exposure and ready to print Do you shoot formal family photos? I don't see any on your website Yes. Yes and yes. I love sharing the portraits and photojournalistic moments on my website, but understand the importance of creating a history for your family. We usually try to do the family sessions either before or directly following your ceremony. Everything you’d expect from a professional wedding photographer will be there and even more! We’re uncomfortable having our pictures taken, can you make us look natural? This is honestly told to me by 85% of my clients and every time I say the same thing, “Don’t worry, we’ll be having fun and I’ll take care of making you look good!” You don’t need to worry about poses, lighting of anything else, that’s why you’re hiring me! Do you have insurance? Absolutely. Hook me up with your venue and I'll get them the paperwork they need. How long will it take to see our images? Everything will be ready for you within a month after your wedding. What do we get in our gallery? All the images I deliver to you will be fully edited and processed JPEG files that are ready for print. How did you get into photography? I finished university with a degree in theater, spent my early 20’s in that glorious space before moving into Cinematography and Photography. I’ve been a Cinematographer on 3 feature length film and lots of other projects, but when I picked up a still camera, something just clicked and felt right about it. The rest is history. What’s your “Real” job? This is it. I’ve been photographing weddings full time for 12 years now and have captured about 300 celebrations. Will you have a drink with me at my wedding? I’ve never been one to say no to hospitality, so if you put a drink in my hand I’ll celebrate with you! That said, I’ll stick to just one so I can focus on capturing all the moments with you and your loved ones. What in your camera bag? * I have a couple Canon R6 and half a dozen Canon "L" series lenses. I bring along lighting for any situation and there's back-ups of all my gear, so I'll always be ready. Where's your favorite place in the world? * Hmmmm.... what kind of adventure are we going for? If it's eating, I'll take Japan, Singapore or Lyon, France. Heading into the mountains? Give me the Swiss Alps or California's Sierra Nevadas. Myanmar or Vietnam if I'm headed off looking for some killer colors and genuinely charming people to photograph. Honestly, there's not many places I wouldn't be excited to visit for some reason, my biggest regret in life is that I'll never manage to see it all....
